Mitochondrial health is the foundation of every longevity protocol. Without healthy mitochondria, you cannot generate sustainable energy, repair DNA, or age well. This guide covers the foundational approach: what to do first, what to monitor, and how to know if your protocol is working.
Why Mitochondrial Health Comes First
Every cell that requires sustained energy depends on mitochondria. Your brain, heart, muscles, and immune system all run on ATP generated by mitochondrial function. When mitochondria fail, fatigue, cognitive decline, metabolic disease, and aging accelerate.
