How a functional medicine visit works
We start with your full history and whatever data you already have: bloodwork, wearable trends, symptoms, medications, and supplements. Results are read against functional ranges and as patterns across markers, not one flag at a time. You leave with a written plan covering nutrition, supplements, herbs, lifestyle, and acupuncture where it helps, plus a clear “take this to your physician” note whenever something needs medical follow-up.

Is a DAOM a medical doctor?
No. A DAOM is a doctoral degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine. Dr. Bright works within that scope and refers to physicians for medical diagnosis and prescriptions. DAOM vs. MD, explained.
What does it cost?
It’s a cash-pay practice with superbills for PPO out-of-network reimbursement and HSA/FSA accepted. Current prices are on the appointments page.
Can I do everything virtually?
If you’re in California, yes, for consultative care. Acupuncture and other hands-on treatments need an in-person visit.
